Friends.....
Recently,A friend called me up to apologise in her own special way for doing something she shouldnt have.Special in the sense where you make tons of excuses for the way you acted but wont say the word sorry. In the name of apology, she said many other excusable things and Now im pissed of.I have learnt a few things in my life one being not take anyone for granted. When somone does something good for you even once,I tend to return the favour one way or the other.I dont like taking "ehsaan" from anyone. And in friendship, sometimes you overlook someones bad points .But when Im taken for granted in return and offended on top of it...its like smacking a wild mad man and standing there laughing at him.Im pissed of at the moment but I'll have to get my bearings together and there will follow a tit for tat.Thats gonna be so much fun...I like the look I give people when I stump them.

Food !
Yesterday I had been to this friend's place.Shes a food fanatic.Loves to cook and enjoys eating as well. They say all good chefs do ! She gave me this very simple recipe for potato patties.I cant tell you what exact proportions coz not in the mood to go inot such fine details.;>...
Boil some potatoes well.Mash them and to it add a few finely sliced indian onions, coriander seeds pounded well, jeera seeds, coriander leaves, chilli powder and salt to taste.Green chillies if you want it hot.mash them all together and make small patties with your hands in the shape of small circles.Simply make a ball and smack it to make it flat.dip it in whipped eggs and shallow fry on a flat frying panin little oil.when they golden brown, remove and eat it with bread like sandwiches.

Tricky minds !!
Today was sad .Why! Hormones or just my surroundings. I just wanted to cry my eyes out but I couldnt as I had to prepping the kids for their exams. The weather is good and I just want to run to the beach and run through those cold waters.Shish,Maybe its just that I want to kick someone's ass.
I just went to meet my neighbour and played with her toddler for a while.I let me slobber all over me and puke all over me.Its just that babies calm me down. Then I came home and changed and now Im listening to some good hindi pop songs. Now I just want to dance to them.
Drinking some grapefruit juice,I love it.My friends think Im crazy to be able to drink grapefruit juice with such ease.I even love drinking bittergourd juice.I used to see my dad taking slow sips of these trying to control his blood sugar and I would take a sip whenever he wasnt looking.
I knew of this girl,my room mate who ate lemons.she would suck on them and then chew on them.Well, kids try many things.I knew of someone who loved eating toothpaste especially the gel ones.
hehehheee....Those were somedays.
I used to sit in this room and look over the window at these cashew trees.Especially when the red ones.I used to flick 2 or 3 and then eat them.Oh ,India is absolutely great.I miss it so much.
We had this small villa initially. It was in the center of this 1 acre land filled with long green grass and coconut trees and some fruit trees and red rose bushes.I would come to stay for a few days during hols from the hostel and I couldnt wait to get up every morning and stand outside my main door and look at the garden and all the greenery around me.you could smell the grass soemtimes especially after it drizzled a bit. There isnt anything on this earth that can smell as fresh as earth when its slightly wet.offfff!!
And then I would walk by the flowers and watch these beautiful butterflies with their colorful wings.I was actually just struck by how nature at its simplest best was.I caught these dragonflies and butterflies, hold them in my hands and then let them fly.
I never wore shoes or slippers.I liked the way how the mud and rocks felt against my feet.I climbed these tiny mini hills you could call them and look all around me and i felt like a queen.I told myself I was this fairy queen looking after her fellow fairy friends and flowers and plants and all.It was amazing.Yup! As a kid I was an Enid Blyton fan.Hehehe...
I watched cattle moo all over the grazing lands and munch on grass all day long.I too had a cow back then. Her name was Shimo. When she and I got acquainted,I would pet her for hours and run my hands all over her.I even spoke to her.She licked me sometimes, and yes...it was all sticky and rough.I even had a cat who never stayed on our premises during the day but she would slip in between legs at night and fall fast asleep.I had a dog who never barked at anyone.:>...We tried everything but it was a jolly dog.It was friendly to all strangers.
We even had this piglet called chickoo. He oinked all day, rolled over wet mud and ran all over the palce when we tried to put it back in its pen.He was a vegetarian and loved my dad a lot.He walked beside my dad wherever he went and would make this sad noise when we washed him and put him in the shed.
A rush of memories have swept through my mind now and am not able to continue now.I guess I simply miss my folks a lot.Its been 7 years and 8 months.Cant help it,sometimes I just feel lost.

A Daily Routine !
What is a daily routine like? Many of my friends always ask me what do I do the whole day as I have no kids of my own to run after. And having been around kids and had my own share of experiences of what it is to take care of kids and teens,I always wonder what makes it so busy for mothers who say they hardly find time to breathe around them.Maybe Im wrong..who knows right ! I find it a joy actually taking care of kids, all it requires is a certain discipline I suppose. My mom did,I did...anyways Im here to talk about my routine.
Well,Since Im a housewife...Im the maid, the cook, the wife, the friend, the girlfriend(ahem...romancing !) to my husband, aunty to the rest, tution teacher to the kids and friends to my friends.so many roles to play (except the working woman)..hehehehe.....
Besides this...I wake up and give a good solid moment (half an hour) of pause to my body. Not very young anymore ,so have to give a little rest to my loose back.
Then its all about what to cook.Every housewife and cook I guess wonders every morning what has to be cooked for the day.Had lentils yesterday,so lets cook this veggie,or not this one and not that......It drives me crazy.I tend to call my husband and ask sometimes what would you like to eat.Rarely it will be like make this specifically, most of the time it goes like,"Cook whatever you want rey,Iam busy !" and the fone is shut. Then its all about crying over onions, peeling garlic wearing gloves (Im allergic to it),ginger, and then the 45 minute or 1 hour cooking time.It can be a drag sometimes but having a fussy fussy husband makes it very difficult. All he has to do if he doesnt like it..nah! I dont like it..Im eating eggs.and I go all upset ,eat some and pack it in a tiffin and keep it eating a little everyday.I have this guilt trip I travel to..that goes ting in my head when food goes to waste.I picture poor hungry kids in africa and then end up eating it or beg for forgiveness while discarding it.Eases my guilt a bit.crazy huh!Anything to avoid being bad.
Then it laundry ,which every other day.We change clothes like 2 yr old toddlers.Im fussy about this.Oh theres a stain here,a haldi stain there,oh tea drops here, etc and off they go into the machine.Mine is a semi one,so have some put an effort into it.Dont like automatic, very boring and takes a longer time than usual. With men its easy. They change only when asked to.Otherwise they are comfortable in it for as long they have them on.
Then theres the bathroom.Has to be shine and has to be dry.Dont like to see even a drop of water. So that like 2 times a day. With guests,I go crazy...I check the bathroom every now and then.
Then theres dishwashing. That like hundred times day.Its plates,or cups,or spoons or whatever.after every meal, after every tea.And anytime my hubby decides to do some cooking, that means an hour of cleaning and washing down the whole kitchen. He is a fabulous cook but a lousy cleaner.hehehe...thats what Im here for right !
Then theres mopping,dusting,wiping,etc.
Oh then there's this few hours I dedicate my life to the computer and TV religiously.Come on...I try to keep in touch with friends no matter what.I make time for it.And the telly is like my best friend.Im listening to music the whole day and yup,I never miss a few comedy serials.coz this gives me a chance to unwind and relax and laugh like a hyena as freely as i can.
Today I have to pay a visit to our great embassy here to get my passport. So lets see how all that goes.Gotta go.spent too much time online.
Wondering what has she written here.chalo yaaro,ye tho meri life ishtory hai....ek din ki.
